As a young boy growing up in Chicago, I was exposed to a variety of artwork either from my school or from the fabulous art museums in the city. I was impressed with the ability of the artists to paint such beautiful images whether it was a portrait, landscape, seascape or an impressionist work of art.

I was influenced by the incredible works of Michelangelo, the portraits by Rembrandt, the softness of Monet and the excitement of Kandinsky.

Employment gave me the opportunity to learn photography, darkroom and graphics.

Owning my own photo studio allowed me to be an artist with the camera. How satisfying it was to produce an image that was so well received by my client. Without the skills of a master painter I achieved rewards via the camera.

In my retirement I found the flexibility and manipulation of images I was able to do with the help of the digital era. Not only could I enhance an image, I could literally "paint" my images with the use of some very powerful software.
